Yeah! Elsie is here
I remember when I was 5 years old in grade 1 and how happy I use to get when our teacher would announce it was art time. Sometimes we got to paint, play with glue and glitter, pipe cleaners or play doo. Whatever it was, it was fun!
Flash-forward to the Camillian Home, present day. Tubtim and many of the other children are super happy to have Elsie Evans from Attic Studios coming in one day per week to give special art lessons to our kids. Last time it was pastel crayons. Tubtim drew a fantastic portrait of her boyfriend! Okay, maybe not boyfriend in real life but Tubtim is in love with Tor, a famous pianist she once met in person at a concert many years ago.
This past Sunday it was painting outdoors in our garden. Elsie brought in 6 easels so Tubtim, Benz1, Benz2, Mos, Peter and Bell each had their own station to paint an outdoor scene. Tubtim made a cat. Does that qualify as an “outdoor scene”? Humm…I guess so.
Our kids are privileged to have Elsie and would like to tell her “Thank you for your kindness and patience to come and teach us art”
