School visits & Musicals

We were generously invited to see the musical play at the Regent’s International School, The Wizard of Oz! They were offered the VIP seats at the first row, with chamber music right in front of them. The euphonious and rousing music was played along with the talented actors and actresses who beautifully sang the famous theme song, “Somewhere over the Rainbow”, several times throughout the performance. Though our children could not understand English well but the fascinating scenes and costumes helped them to guess most of the story. Thus, they enjoyed the show and waited for their favourite characters at the curtain call. They even talked about the show all the way back to Camillian Home. Thanks to The Regent’s International School for covering the transportation and for giving our children the great opportunity. We were also fortunate enough to welcome a group of students from Regent’s International at Camillian Home who organized a series of fun games and other activities for our children. We are also thankful to the team for helping us reorganize the “Little Something Shop” and spending the better half of their morning with kids from our Occupational Therapy room.

We were kindly invited to see Bromsgrove International School’s theatre production, The Lion King! There was a lovely prologue before the main performance; the little students danced along the music i.e. Down In the Jungle. Our children were charmed by the attractive animal costumes and performers’ movement. They also had a chance to see the live performance of “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” by a talented piano soloist. During the main performance, the performers sang and danced along the well-known songs like “Can You Feel the Love Tonight”, “I Just Can’t Wait To Be King”, “Hakuna Matata”, “He Lives in You” which even had an acrobatic show, and the grandiose “Circle of Life”. Our children enjoyed the show very much. Thanks to Bromsgrove International School for granting our children a big opportunity to see the splendid performance! In return, a group of students from Bromsgrove visited Camillian Home to help our staff in the occupational therapy room and also created a beautiful wall painting along the disabled access ramp for our children.

On 24^th June, a group of students from Bangkok Patana International School visited us. The morning was spent in a vibrant coloring and sketching session for all our children, including our younger ones from the multiple disabilities room. The kids were happy and joyous showcasing their artistic streak and spending the morning mixing colors and engaging in wonderful conversations with the team from Bangkok Patana. Later, they spent on the third floor kitchen, baking cupcakes from scratch. The whole session proved to be rather therapeutic for all the kids, and everyone enjoyed the delicious cupcakes and other snack afterwards for lunch.

เด็กๆ บ้านคามิลเลียนฯ ได้รับเกียรติเชิญเข้าชมการแสดงละครเพลง ที่โรงเรียนนานาชาติรีเจนท์ เรื่อง พ่อมดแห่งออซ ทางโรงเรียนได้จัดที่นั่งวีไอพี ในแถวหน้า การแสดงที่เต็มไปด้วยความไพเราะ และตื่นเต้นเร้าใจของเสียงเพลง และนักแสดงชายหญิง ที่มีความสามารถ และมีเสียงร้องที่ไพเราะและเพลงที่มีชื่อเสียงอย่างเช่น “Somewhere over the Rainbow” ถึงแม้เด็กๆ จะไม่เข้าใจภาษาอังกฤษทั้งหมด แต่ด้วยฉากอันสวยงาม และ เสื้อผ้าของนักแสดง ก็ทำให้เด็กๆ เข้าใจเรื่องราวได้ไม่ยาก เด็กๆ ชื่นชอบการแสดงนี้มาก และพูดถึงโชว์ที่จบไปอย่างสนุกสนาน ตลอดการเดินทางกลับบ้าน

ซึ่งนอกจากทางโรงเรียนจะใจดีเชิญน้องๆ ของเราเข้าร่วมชมการแสดงละครเพลงแล้ว ในวันที่ 19 มิถุนายน น้องๆนักเรียน ที่น่ารักจากโรงเรียนรีเจนท์ ยังมาเยี่ยมและทำกิจกรรมกับน้องๆ บ้านคามิลเลียนฯ อีกด้วย

และอีกหนึ่งโรงเรียนที่ให้ความเมตตา กับน้องๆ บ้านคามิลเลียนฯ โรงเรียนบรอมส์โกรฟ ที่ได้เชิญน้องๆ ของเราร่วมชมละครเพลง เรื่อง ไลอ้อนคิง ซึ่งมีเพลงแสนไพเราะมากมายที่เด็กๆ นักเรียนใช้ในการแสดง เช่น ดาวน์ อิน เดอะ จังเกิ้ล เป็นต้น เด็กๆ ของเราเพลิดเพลินไปกับการแสดง และเครื่องแต่งกายชุดสัตว์ต่าง นอกจากนั้นเด็กๆ ยังได้ชมการแสดงเดี่ยวเปียโนในเพลง “แคน ยู ฟีล เดอะ เลิฟ ทูไนท์” และในระหว่างการแสดงหลัก นักแสดงได้ร้องและเต้นไปกับเพลงเดียวกันนี้ และ เพลง “ไอ จัส คานท์ เวท ทู บี คิง” / “ฮาคูน่า มาทาท่า” / “ฮี ลิฟส์ อิน ยู” ซึ่งในเพลงนี้มีนักแสดงกายกรรมออกมาร่วมแสดงสร้างความตื่นเต้นให้กับผู้ชมอีกด้วย และในการแสดงเพลง “เซอร์เคิล ออฟ ไลฟ์” ที่ยิ่งใหญ่ ตระการตา เด็กๆ ตื่นเต้นไปกับการแสดงมากๆ ขอบคุณทางโรงเรียนบรอมส์โกรฟ ที่มอบโอกาสแสนพิเศษ และการแสดงดีๆ แบบนี้ให้กับน้องๆ ของเรา และในวันที่ 22 และ 23 มิถุนายน น้อง ๆจากโรงเรียนบรอมส์โกรฟ ยังได้มาเยี่ยม และทำกิจกรรม อีกทั้งยังวาดภาพที่สวยงามบริเวณทางลาด ขึ้นชั้น3 ให้กับเราอีกด้วย

และอีกหนึ่งโรงเรียนที่เราได้ต้อนรับ คือน้องๆ นักเรียน และคุณครูจากโรงเรียนนานาชาติบางกอกพัฒนา ที่ได้มาเยี่ยมเราในวันที่ 24 มิถุนายน ในช่วงเช้าน้องๆ จากบ้านคามิลเลียนฯ และโรงเรียนบางกอกพัฒนา ได้ช่วยกันแต่งแต้มระบายสีสันลงบนกระดาษ อย่างสวยงาม หลังจากที่ผลงานของแต่ละคนเสร็จเรียบร้อยต่างก็โชว์ผลงานของตัวเอง และ ใช้เวลาในช่วงเช้าไปกับการพูดคุย และทำกิจกรรมกับพี่ๆ จากบางกอกพัฒนา และในช่วงกลางวันเด็กๆ ได้ช่วยกันอบคัพเค๊กที่ครัวบนชั้น3 ด้วยตนเอง กิจกรรมที่ทางโรงเรียนจัดมาทั้งหมดนี้เป็นกิจกรรมที่ช่วยบำบัดไปในตัวอีกด้วย ซึ่งหลังจากนั้นเด็กๆ ก็ได้อิ่มอร่อยกับคัพเค๊ก และ อื่นๆ อีกมากมาย
