Flood Situation
The medical and social workers at Camillian Home have been involved in supporting disabled people living in the community; providing food, medicine, training, adaptive equipment, and very importantly, establishing a deep personal link so they know and feel that they are not alone. Our teams do this work 6 days a week, 52 weeks a year.
The reality of the individuals we help is that many if not all need long term support; single mothers with a severely disabled child, disabled elderly and grandparents looking after disabled children as the real parents have long since disappeared are just a few examples.
I mention this because it relates to “How can we help?” Long after the flood waters have disappeared, the need of many will remain. In particular we welcome monthly pledges of 500, 1,000 or 2,000 baht or donations of food: rice and canned fish would be great.
Thank you for your kindness and stay safe
