10th year of Camillian Home
In 2018, the Camillian Home is in its tenth year of activity.
Our main mission is to take care of children living with physical and mental disabilities. Some of our children have been abandoned by their families, or the families may be too poor and unable to face the complex problems experienced by those living with cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, autism and other physical infirmities. Thus, some of our children reside in the Camillian Home day and night. Other children take advantage of our educational, therapeutic and recreational services only during daylight hours.
Thanks to the generous donations that we have received from the year of its foundation to today, the Home has been able to equip itself with essential equipment and staff to offer the proper therapeutic therapy that our children need. The funds from some private companies, sensitive to our problems, have allowed us to equip our physical therapy room with different machines required to offer a free and efficient service.
Five years ago, a small therapeutic swimming pool was built that made it possible to give water therapy essential for the fragile muscular tone of the Camillian Home children living with cerebral palsy. Two years ago, the Home inaugurated an art therapy program where it is possible to perform various artistic and recreational activities.
Although the Home has managed to achieve these and other important results, the Camillian Home needs continuous help and donations to respond to the daily needs that of our children and their home.
Help Us to make the world a better home for a Disabled Children!
