Blind children beach trip

The Home's blind kids had an early start on Saturday, headed out to the beach where a beautiful beach with crystal-clear waters awaited them a few kilometers south of Pattaya.

Bedsheets and towels

Who doesn’t like soft and clean sheets and good quality towels?!

Our friends from Four Points By Sheraton Bangkok, DusitD2 Baracuda Pattaya, Dusit Princess Srinakarin Bangkok  and Dusit Thani Bangkok hotel generously donated a large amount of fantastic bed sheets and towels to our Camillian Home. Our old bed sheets were getting a bit ratty and the staff and kids couldn’t get rid of them fast enough when they saw the new ones.  The huge pile of 400 plus towels will be given to underprivileged disabled people and their families living in the community.

Free dental care clinic for disabled people

“There are  100’s of  people from throughout Latkrabang district  who are in desperate need of dental care,”

Dental care is the most common unmet health care need of disabled children and adults. Anyone who has had toothache will appreciate the pain and suffering that this can cause. For children and adults with disabilities, particularly those that are not able to communicate or have trouble doing so, the problem is compounded. Children and adolescents with disabilities  have poorer oral health than their non-disabled counterparts. Variable access to dental care, inadequate oral hygiene and disability-related factors  account for the difference.

Happy Songkran

Two days ago, on the 12 th of April Camillian Home  celebrated Songkran in a festive and joyous atmosphere. The children's eyes shone with joy.The staff and children prepared a fashion show which allowed us to discover some hidden talents in our children. After sharing a good meal in a nice moment, the moment the child were waiting for finally arrived.
